Update Plan A
We are still in the fight for our Plant! On Friday, 6/19/09 objections were filed in the United States Bankrupcy Court, in New York by attorneys representing Wayne, Washtenaw and Ypsilanti Township. The Hearing date is set for June 30, 2009. The Attorneys and Government Officials have requested a meeting with higher GM Management to discuss our Plant before the Bankrupcy Hearing.

We thank everyone for all their help, this has been a battle for all, since 6/1/09. We as Leadership of UAW Local 735 are humbled by the support of everyone listed. We are trying to be constructive and thoughtful in presenting our business case to all who will listen. We hope everyone will pray that we can save the Willow Run/YTO Plant.

July 15, 2009, 10 am to 6:00 pm. Information Fair at UAW Local 735. Information on Unemployment, Federal Aid, Area Hire, National Hire, Job Opportunities, Financial Advisors, United Way, Community Services and many, many other. This is a very important day. Come by and get informed.

Clothing Allowance
The additional clothing allowance monies ($125.00) are now available to everyone. If you used the $150.00, that was available, there is $125.00 more to use totaling $275.00. The Clothing Store will open from July 13th thru July 31st. The hours will be from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. For those members on temporary layoff, please enter the Plant at Gate 2 thru the Guard Shack. Do Not Punch In!

Paragraph 96 Move July 17th , 4:00 pm is the deadline for applications
Applications are being mailed as we write this. An interview will be conducted (after application is processed). At this interview, you will be allowed to accept the move or change your mind and not accept.
